I am happy to report that customized skincare is slowing taken over the skincare industry. I am glad to share that I was invited to Dermalogica’s Speed Mapping Skin Analysis at Shoppers’ Stop, Rajouri Garden. Now all of you guys who have been a part of our family know that Be For Beauty has associated with Dermalogica in the past. I feel that is one of the few skincare brands in the industry that remains focused on all things related to skincare. And I love that about them!
Dermalogica’s Skin Analysis
I was keen to know more about Dermalogica’s skin analysis: after all, they’re known for their specialized skincare. I was met with Shipra, the trainer and two Dermalogica skin experts who work at their signature store in Delhi.
Face Mapping includes having a one-on-one with a Dermalogica expert, examine skin type, assess skin problems and using appropriate products. They usually divide the face between 13 zones. These can be broadly divided into forehead, eye area, nose, cheeks and neck. They broadly look for breakouts, comedones, dilated capillaries, dehydration, milia, pigmentation, fine lines, sensitivity or redness and uneven texture.
How was my Face Mapping Experience?
I sat down with Shipra, telling her I am about to turn 30 and my two major concerns were enlarged/open pores around my nose and my dark circles. After a brief chat, Shipra got down to wearing her microscopic glasses and had a thorough yet quick look.
And here’s what I was told: not only did I skin seem dehydrated but the test also reiterated that my skin is very sensitive. Thanks to the usual cocktail I keep trying due to reviews along with lesser water and fluids in my body, my skin looked drier on my forehead and neck. Seeing that my skin was very sensitive, Shipra agreed I should only exfoliate my skin with fine granule scrub two-three times a week and use mild, anti-irritant creams only.
Is it good for you?
Yes. The Dermalogica team is spending time in training their representatives to make sure they give out the right advice and buy the right products. You can try the products at any of the stores, carry samples and then come back to buy the product.
Do I recommend it to teenagers and adults?
I currently don’t have acne problems (God bless me!) but I have been there; in fact, in my second year of college, my cheeks were constantly red that made me feel really uncomfortable. While I didn’t get to enjoy a skin analysis without paying up a dermatologist, a visit to Dermalogica definitely makes things clearer and easier for those who come to their outlets.
So if you’re facing any skin problems or just keen to know more, I suggest you pay a visit to Dermalogica.
Do they recommend their skincare products?
Considering they are a professional skincare brand, they did suggest a customized beauty regime to see and feel improvements in my skin.
I was advised to Ultra Calming Cleanser and Super Sensitive Shield SPF 30 along with Ultra Calming Mist to calm my skin and make it redness-free. I was advised to use Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant to get rid of my adamant blackheads on the nose and their Total Eye Care SPF 15: an all rounder for my worries.
Lastly, I also tried the Super Rich Repair, and the formula made my skin really soft, so hopefully takes care of lack of moisture on my forehead and neck too.
Can you try it?
Yes of course, Be For Beauty invites 3 of you to try this skin analysis and also enjoy a gift hamper from Dermalogica. All you need to do it is to like this post and tell us why you’d like to try.
Have a great skin day!
